Should you require any additional information /clarification on any of the points below or indeed any other aspect of our service then please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help.

PAYMENT

We ask that you pay at the end of your consultation, the discharge of your pet or upon collection of medicines or any other items available to purchase. We accept cash, cheques (supported by a valid banker’s card), debit, and most major credit cards. Please note that we do not accept American Express.

ESTIMATES

We can provide you with estimates of cost for any consultations, procedures, tests or treatments upon request. We understand that sometimes costs are a concern, so we will keep you informed at all times.

If you are ever concerned about costs, please talk to us. Our aim is to find the best solution for you and your pet at all times.

INABILITY TO PAY

If for any reason you are unable to settle your account at the time please speak with our Practice Manager who will discuss what options are available to you for payment.

PET INSURANCE

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to settle your account with us and to then reclaim costs from your Insurance provider. Please ask a member of staff for more information.

In order to cover the administrative costs involved in the processing of claims we do charge a small fee per claim form. A member of our team will be happy to discuss this with you.

PRESCRIPTIONS

Prescriptions are available from this practice.

You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.

Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-Vs only for animals under their care.

A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary.

You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be dispensed for your animal.

Further information on the prices of medicines is available on request.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

To ensure that your pet receives the best possible care we will ask to you to come in for a prescription health check every 3 months. This appointment is with a vet, who will examine your pet and talk to you about the prescribed medication and health of your dog or cat.

This appointment is necessary to review your pet’s condition and to ensure that the medication is still necessary and being prescribed and administered at the correct dose and frequency. Some medications are associated with possible adverse effects and we want to minimise these as much as possible—the vet will check for any side effects at the time of examination.

OUR STANDARDS

We are extremely proud of the standards of care provided by our practice and actively encourage constructive feedback from our clients. However, should you have any questions regarding any aspect of the service provided please raise them initially with the member of our team that you are dealing with. They will in most cases be able to resolve any queries raised. Should you still have any matter that you wish to discuss further please contact our Practice Manager Helen House, in writing at The Vale Veterinary Group, College Road, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1NB.
