We have a dedicated team of farm animal vets serving the local farming community of Devon and Somerset from our Tiverton, Cullompton and Honiton Branches.

Vets within the practice travel nationally and internationally offering veterinary consultancy such as mastitis and ET services.

The whole farm animal team is skilled and experienced in emergency work and individual cow care. However, the core of our work is preventive healthcare and farm management planning.

We were one of the first practices in the UK to initiate routine fertility visits in the 1960’s. These visits have developed into a whole herd health approach that includes fertility management, mastitis and lameness control and calf health programs.

Today, because of the great wealth of experience within the team, and their long term direct involvement in farming, we are able to take a whole farm approach, carefully balancing the needs of cattle, sheep and pigs with the physical and financial constraints of the farm.

The on-farm services we offer are supported by modern computer programs, top quality on farm and laboratory equipment, and good links with experts in practice and leading research institutes.

Investment in professional development, training and equipment ensures a continuing high standard of proficiency. In-house mastitis laboratory facilities ensure rapid analysis of milk samples, and access to local accredited labs enables the monitoring and control of critical health conditions.
