What Our Clients Say

  Back

We are pleased to say that the care and attention that 'Angus' our black Labrador Retriever received from Tiverton was nothing short of first class. Unknown to us, he had been in our barn and had eaten some sugar beet pellets that had been spilt on the floor, leaving his stomach badly swollen. Jonathan met us at the surgery and took Angus into his care, operated on him during the night and the team nursed him back to good as new. He has just had his all clear.

Mr Lockhead - Cullompton, Devon

When my four dogs and I came to live in Cullompton 35 years ago one of my worries was ‘is there a vet practice and what it would be like’. Will it have the same friendly approach that I had enjoyed in the past? Now 35 years on I feel very fortunate to be a client of the Vale Veterinary Group. During this time I have seen many changes but there is one important thing that has never altered and that is the warm friendly atmosphere and professionalism of all the staff. I cannot say how much others and I appreciate the services provided by our vets.

The fact that there is always a vet ‘on call’ twenty-four hours a day if you have an emergency or need advice when the surgery is closed gives a great feeling of security as well I know when on a wet and dark Sunday night my dachshund stole a piece of Christmas cake!

I have much to be thankful for having the Vale Veterinary Group for the care and support of my dogs, and the kindness and compassion I have received when having to have any of my animals put to sleep. I am very grateful and I thank you all

Mrs Embury – Cullompton, Devon

I have Papillons and have been a client of the Vale Veterinary Group for the last 28 years since I moved to Devon. My dogs are never nervous about going to the Vale, as the atmosphere is so friendly, but at the same time professional from the receptionists through to the Nurses and Vets.

I used to be involved with Papillion rescue and the treatment and understanding towards these little ‘butterflies’ was absolutely outstanding. Over the years all my pets, cats and dogs were treated with gentleness and care. Also and just as important I am listened to. Well done ‘The Vale’.

Mrs Clark – Willand, Devon

I have used the Vale vets exclusively since I move to Devon seventeen years ago and I have always experienced excellent service no matter how big or small the pet that we have turned up with. Over the years, we have had a large menagerie of pets ranging in size from gerbils to horses with a few alpacas and Irish Wolfhounds thrown in so we have needed to call on the services of many of the vets and nurses in the practice, all of whom have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the animal concerned.

The reception staff are always friendly and efficient and can be relied on to dispense a much needed cup of tea and sympathy at difficult times or a big smile to welcome new and known pets into the practice. A big thank you to all of you

Mrs Evans – Blackborough, Devon

We have a black Labrador, she has had a few health problems over recent years. She is somewhat nervous, but over all the time that she has been a patient at "Vale", she has never on any occasion worried about going into the surgery. In fact on approaching her tail starts to wag and she can't wait to go in. Previously with other Vets the opposite has occurred, when our dog has had to be "helped" in.

The staff are really kind and considerate, to both owners and pets, they go out of their way to settle the animal, and always without exception provide a first class professional service. I would recommend them to any owner, "try them you will not be disappointed".

From two very satisfied owners and a happy Labrador.

Mrs and Mrs Honeybone - Honiton, Devon

I have been with the Vale Vets since we moved into Whimple about 20 years ago. They are without doubt the most professional, reliable, caring and friendly bunch of people you could meet. The practice in Honiton is where I go and the facilities there are second to none. and of course on site parking is a real bonus! There is always help at the end of the phone and if a trip to the vet is required I know that there is always someone there that I can trust. I recommend them to everyone, why would you want to go anywhere else?

Mrs Podbury - Whimple, Exeter

The Vale Vets in Tiverton are absolutely fantastic! Not only do they have the most amazing, caring and knowledgeable Vets (especially Louise Turley!), but they also have a fantastic team behind the scenes! My family have gone through so much with our pets in the last 2 years and not only has Louise provided the best care for them, but Sue, Mikayla, Tanya, Lynne, Carole, Becky (to name only a few!) have also been extremely supportive and empathetic to us as owners and have always given up their time for us, no matter how small the concern was. There is nowhere else on this earth that I would be prepared to take my precious pets!! THANK YOU!!’

Leanne Latchem and Family, Tiverton

I first used The Vale Vets (Tiverton) in the late 1960s when Mr Griffiths used to come out to the farm at Cheriton Fitzpaine. At that time I was herdswoman there, and I owned an Irish Draught cross horse and my first collie, Biddy. From that day to this I have never had anything but a service that goes the extra mile to make sure all is done to maintain the health of my animals, large and small. And that when the time came to do the right thing for them, compassion was always evident. There are lots of stories I could share showing what a wonderful team there is at The Vale Vets – all working to one purpose to provide a caring service to both patients and clients.

Joan Baker, Sampford Peverell

We have been clients of The Vale Veterinary Group since 1991 and I can HONESTLY say, for the entire time we have had wonderful service from every member of staff with whom we have been in contact. The vets are exceptional. When we had to have our dog put to sleep a few years ago I could not believe how considerate, kind and thoughtful everyone was. Yes, it was a sad time but it could not have been handled better and we will always be grateful for that. Our last memories of Tess were good ones.

We have a new puppy (well she is 16 months now!) Pippie, and she has been treated so well - she even gets excited when we visit! The nurses were lovely with her when she went in for her puppy checks and this has meant she is not afraid of going.

Our cat, Mia, unfortunately had a big trauma last year but Louise, our vet, was WONDERFUL! She did everything possible to make her better and although Mia had to go to Bristol to the Veterinary College Hospital, her aftercare at Tiverton was second to none. It took many months of treatment but she is now well, unfortunately minus her tail, but back to her old miaowing self!

It is not just the nurses and vets who are great, it is also the clerical staff. Whenever we phone or visit they are friendly and helpful.

If I could give an award for outstanding service, commitment and kindness I would give it to The Vale!

Pam Gover and Bob Eiserbeck, Tiverton

The Vale Vets in Tiverton is a first class clinic. All of the staff are very professional, helpful and understanding. Our dog, Buffy, was very sick and had to stay in the clinic for a week. She was treated by Jonathan Dainton who is an exceptional vet. He gave her the highest possible level of attention and kept us informed of her condition and treatment several times each day. With the support of the very capable and caring nursing staff Buffy was returned to us in good health. We are very grateful for the skills and absolute commitment of the staff and would highly recommend you go the extra mile to use this clinic.

Perry Young, Cullompton

Just wanted to say how fantastic all the staff at Uffculme are. We had two beloved dogs and two gerbils, sadly we had to have one of our dogs put to sleep last summer and one of the gerbils passed away after struggling for a few months with a tumour on his scent gland, so now we have one dog and one gerbil who are both getting on a bit and we've just got a young cat. Everyone at Uffculme is kind, welcoming, patient and encouraging, and help to put us and our pets at ease. Kathy was fantastic when she came to our home to put Fionn to sleep. Donald has looked after us so well and Lynne is a ray of sunshine. Well done all and thanks for looking after our family so well, all the best.
